In short

The cars and offers on our Cars page are updated automatically from our own fleet-management system – they are not "teaser offers" assembled for marketing purposes. That is why "that one's just gone, but we have something similar" cannot happen: what you see on our website is our available offering. Availability is shown by three labels: In stock (the car is built and exists, with a VIN), On order (we have a confirmed order for it, with a factory delivery date) and Sample configuration (an indicative offer illustrating typical business use). Condition is shown by four categories: New, Demo, Company-used, Pre-rented.

Why is every listing up to date?

Because we do not edit them by hand. The car pages get onto the website automatically from our own fleet-management system: when a car is taken, it disappears; when a new one arrives, it appears; when its condition or mileage changes, it is updated. Our listings are not call-generating "bait offers" – the offering you see on our website is identical to our real offering.

The three availability labels

  1. In stock – we only label a car this way if it is already built and exists, with its own VIN – in exactly the configuration you see on the page. It may not have been delivered yet, or we may not have registered it yet – but the car certainly exists. The in-stock label by itself does not mean immediate handover: we mark that separately.
  2. On order – we have already ordered the configuration you see: we have a valid order number and a delivery date committed by the manufacturer. Since the order is confirmed, we can already sign a contract for these cars – with the delivery date known.
  3. Sample configuration – we created these configurations and their indicative offers to illustrate typical business-use categories and cost levels. In general we order particularly well-equipped – and therefore more expensive – cars; through the sample configurations we also show the more modestly equipped, more affordable options.

What does "available for immediate handover" mean?

Among the in-stock cars you will find some labelled "available for immediate handover". When we write that, it means precisely that: available immediately – the very car you see, in that configuration. If you check the mileage in the listing, that is exactly how many kilometres are in it – come and verify it yourself.

The four condition categories

  • New – no explanation needed: a new car.
  • Demo – a car that a client or prospective client has tried out. Mileage from a few hundred kilometres up to a maximum of 6,000 kilometres.
  • Company-used – driven overwhelmingly by Bavarian Classics staff; never rented to a client.
  • Pre-rented – it has already served in a rental structure, and we pass it on with a clear conscience. In the great majority of cases these cars are also available for shorter fixed terms.

A listing is worth as much as it is true. Ours updates from our fleet-management system: what you see exists and is available – and when we say available for immediate handover, it is available immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Could I call you and find the advertised car is already gone?

If you see the car as available on the website, it is available – the offering updates automatically from our fleet-management system. What is taken is clearly marked "No longer available" – we never advertise it as available.

When can I get an "in stock" car?

An in-stock car is built and exists, but may still be awaiting delivery or registration – the exact handover time is fixed in the offer. If the listing carries the "available for immediate handover" label, you can take it right away.

Can a sample configuration be ordered?

Yes – a sample configuration is a real, orderable build, and the offer next to it is indicative. Request an offer, and we will finalise the fee and the delivery date for the specific order.

What is the difference between demo and company-used?

Demo cars were tried out by clients and prospects (up to 6,000 km); company-used cars were overwhelmingly driven by Bavarian Classics staff – and were never rented to a client.

Why do you recommend pre-rented cars with confidence?

Because we know their entire history: they served with us, backed by the group's service background, with a documented record. We know exactly what we are passing on – and they are also ideal for shorter fixed-term rentals.
